Well, the scientific premise this sci-fi is based on is not very plausible. Once you get past that, what the hero does with his super powers is not very positive or imaginative. Why fall into a cycle of robbery, violence, and vengeance, when as the scientist character said in both books, the real interesting application of this new ability is transportation? We have established that the protagonist can teleport other objects and people along with him. Can he teleport across laser or microwave links, or only wires and optic fibers? How much weight can he carry? Can he carry normal people with him, or only others who have the teleporting ability? Depending on the answers, he could start a new era of space exploring and colonization. That's just one possibility. I hope the author gives us a nice surprise in trilogy book #3.Product details

Superhighway 2 Alex Fayman 9781544010793 Books Reviews
Alex Fine has the unique ability to travel through the internet. He also finds the truth to the saying that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. The author has an original, unique idea and spirits us along with an interesting 'what if' story. Although it's part of a series, this book can stand on its own as well.
Pretty decent story, about a guy who can travel through the internet, and basically download any info he can find. He attracts attention from bad guys and nefarious government agents and has to deal with the fallout. The story while interesting is kinda depressing, the guy is a drug addicted idiot and has all kinds of horrible things happen to him that are all really due to his own poor decisions. It does have some good moments and ends, rather abruptly, with things finally looking a bit brighter. This is the second in the series and I'll read a third.
This book is the second in the Superhighway Trilogy and follows Alex Fine as he uses his ability to travel through the internet and deals with the aftermath of the chaos he creates. The book is very well-written and easy to read. The characters are well-developed and have depth and personality. I am looking forward to reading the final book in the trilogy to see where Alex Fine goes next.
I loved Superhighway 2. It had been some time since I had read Superhighway, so I re-read, before starting this sequel.
Superhighway 2 continues the story of Alex' science fiction and spy thriller adventure. The story is tight. The writing is polished. The reader's interest is held from start to finish. Alex is a likable hero, but is in great danger. The resolutions and escapes are believable and frightening.
The sudden end to this book is interesting. However, much has been resolved and Alex has developed greatly in his new life and role. We do look forward to Superhighway 3.
The book is super thrilling and a fast-paced read. Superhighway 2 amazed me beyond my electronic imagination. Many components of the story captivated my attention and kept me on the edge of my seat. Alex Fayman indeed introduces you and me to a disorderly lifestyle.
On the flip side, once again, although written from a scientific point of view, I am not too fond of the concept of believing that people can travel through time and space by use of the internet. It still seems unrealistic to me. However, yet I think that digital addiction is a real issue. Additionally, I would not say I like that notion regarding our present and future generations. Unfortunately, Alex proves that his dire consequences outweigh his uncanny choices and decisions to utilize his scientific gift to steal from a Russian mob. It did not pay off as planned. Moreover, the ending causes me to believe that I have not seen the last of Alex Fine.
Superhighway 2 continues the adventure of Alex Fine at a break-neck pace which draws you further into the story while the character's emotions completely envelope you (FYI You may want tissues nearby). Superhighway 2 is by far the crux of Alex Fine's supernatural gift and provides the reader with a nail-biting account of the extent of the rippling effects of his gift. I am certainly looking forward to the arrival of Superhighway 3.
Alex Fine, first met as a teenager in Superhighway, is now an adult and on the run. His ability to enter the Internet, giving him access to collect and change data, and emerge anywhere in the world, is known to the world powers. He is the most wanted and dangerous man in a world on the brink of war. The author weaves a good plot and Alex is a sympathetic character. What would you do with such power, especially when all you want is to live quietly with your wife and newborn son?
Well, the scientific premise this sci-fi is based on is not very plausible. Once you get past that, what the hero does with his super powers is not very positive or imaginative.
